7th Anniversary Series | Milestones: 2019–2025
Over seven years, HYP Global has grown from a single office in Shanghai into an international education brand with partnerships across 15+ U.S. universities. Here's a look back at the key milestones along the way.
2019 — Year of Foundation
HYP Global is founded, and in the same year launches its flagship Pre-Master Boot Camp (PMBC) in partnership with Lehigh University. The program enrolls its first cohort of 14 students and builds a network of 300+ education agents. The company's first office in Shanghai opens its doors this year.

2020–2022 — Years of Strategic Growth
Despite industry-wide headwinds, HYP Global expands against the trend, forging partnerships with seven leading universities and upgrading PMBC's application and teaching systems. During this period, the company's capacity grows to support 1,000+ agents and 500+ students annually, with the team actively attending education fairs to raise the profile of partner institutions in China.

2023 — Year of Recognition
University partnerships expand to 11, and the team completes two U.S. campus visits — including to the business schools at Santa Clara University and Pepperdine University, and the Graduate School at Lehigh University. The company integrates Flywire to streamline international tuition payments. Founder Harry Gong is honored as a “2023 Contributor to International Education Development” by Sina Education — a significant milestone in the company's journey.

2024 — Year of Deepening Roots
HYP Global celebrates its 5th anniversary. Partnerships deepen to 13 institutions, and the company launches 12+ specialized PMBC courses. The team hosts on-the-ground events for partners across China, completes a second round of U.S. campus visits, and holds a team-building retreat in Dubai.

2025 — Year of Global Breakthrough
HYP Global enters a new stage of growth: university partnerships reach 15+, with nearly 200 students enrolled for the year. The company expands into Taiwan and South Korea with new offices, and the team attends NAFSA 2025, continuing to build its international network.
The year also brings two industry honors: founder Harry Gong is named an “Influential Innovator in Studying Abroad” at the 2025 Forbes China Studying Abroad Selection Series Awards, and HYP Global is recognized as an “Excellent Brand in Studying Abroad Consulting Services in China.” The team also visits partner institutions including the business schools at Santa Clara University and Pepperdine University, and Otis College of Art and Design, and hosts delegations from partner universities including Lehigh at the company's Shanghai office.

From 14 Students to Nearly 200
Over seven years, HYP Global has grown from serving 14 students in its first PMBC cohort to helping nearly 200 students enter U.S. graduate programs each year; from one university partner to more than fifteen; from a single office in Shanghai to a team spanning Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and California.
This timeline captures more than growth in numbers — it reflects a group of people's long-term commitment to international education. Seven years in, the story continues.
