Founded in 1918, Otis College of Art and Design is Los Angeles' first independent professional school of art and design, located on the city's Westside near the beach. With a mission to prepare diverse students to enrich the world through creativity, skill, and vision, Otis has cultivated generations of artists and designers whose work spans Pixar, DreamWorks, Nike, Disney, Apple, and the Museum of Modern Art. Alumni and faculty include Fulbright, MacArthur, and Guggenheim grant recipients, Oscar awardees, and leading figures in contemporary art, fashion, and design.
