Jenny explained that the College of Engineering welcomes applicants from diverse academic backgrounds, and students from different undergraduate disciplines apply each year.
For students without an engineering major, relevant coursework, project experience, or self-learning efforts can demonstrate academic preparation and learning ability.
For example, completing related courses through platforms such as Coursera can serve as supporting evidence of initiative and preparation.
However, final admission decisions are based on a comprehensive evaluation of academic performance, undergraduate background, application materials, and other qualifications.
GRE and Application Requirements
During the webinar, Jenny introduced some of the graduate application requirements.
For certain engineering master’s programs, the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is optional.
