Building a Strong Foundation in Math, Python, and Business Analytics
The Santa Clara Pre-Master pathway is designed primarily for students preparing to enter graduate programs at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University.

For students preparing to study fields such as Business Analytics, early exposure to mathematics, Python, and data analytics tools helps bridge the gap before正式 graduate study begins.

02 | Lehigh Pre-Master
More Than Academic Knowledge: Learning How to Communicate in Graduate School
Unlike programs focused primarily on academic foundations, one particularly prominent theme in feedback from Lehigh Pre-Master students is:
Technical Communications.
One student shared:
“During my PMBC studies, the Technical Communications course left the deepest impression on me. Drawing on extensive industry and teaching experience, the professor helped us build a highly valuable framework for technical communication.”
The course covered much more than English-language communication. It also introduced students to:

Communication strategies in professional settings

Another student described Technical Communications as very different from previous courses:
“The professor not only taught us what to pay attention to in academic communication, but also explained how to deal with special situations. Like a senior student, the professor shared his own experiences and mindset during his master’s studies, as well as some life experiences. I feel that this course is very meaningful for someone like me who will soon be studying abroad.”
Support outside the classroom also left a strong impression.
“At the beginning of the course, they showed me how to use Canvas, and they always provided timely answers to questions about course scheduling. I’m very grateful for their support in helping me successfully complete the PMBC program.”

I plan to study Data Science at Lehigh, but my undergraduate major was not directly related, so the mathematics and algorithm courses were a very good way to strengthen my foundation. 03 | Clemson ECE Pre-Master
From Mathematics to Circuit Design: Preparing for Engineering Graduate Study
If the Santa Clara Pre-Master pathway focuses more heavily on business analytics and data tools, and the Lehigh Pre-Master pathway combines academic preparation with communication skills, the Clemson ECE Pre-Master pathway has a clear engineering focus.
The program is designed mainly for students preparing to enter graduate study in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and related areas at Clemson University.
In student feedback, several themes appear repeatedly:
mathematics, circuit design, and professional knowledge.
One student shared:
“The courses helped fill gaps in my mathematics foundation. At first, the material sounded very difficult and I struggled with it. I asked the instructors many questions after class, and they always answered patiently. Later, I gradually became able to understand the lectures. I’m very grateful to all the instructors for their hard work throughout the course.”
