Event Recap | 2026 Spring Santa Clara University College of Business & School of Engineering PMBC Online Opening Ceremony Successfully Held
On the morning of February 26, 2026 (Beijing Time), HYP Global successfully hosted the 2026 Spring Santa Clara University (SCU) College of Business & School of Engineering PMBC (Pre-Master Bootcamp) Online Opening Ceremony. The event brought together representatives from Santa Clara University and students participating in the current PMBC program. More than 20 participants attended the online ceremony.

The opening ceremony welcomed representatives from multiple departments of Santa Clara University, who delivered welcome messages and introduced academic resources and student support services, including:

The university representatives welcomed the new PMBC students and shared insights into the university’s academic strengths, student support resources, and future learning opportunities.
College of Business Presentation: Academic Resources and Student Support System
During the opening ceremony, Nydia MacGregor, Ph.D. first introduced Santa Clara University’s Graduate Business Programs.
She provided an overview of Santa Clara University’s history, campus environment, and unique location advantages. Founded in 1851, Santa Clara University is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, offering students valuable opportunities to connect with the technology and business ecosystem in the region.
She also welcomed the incoming PMBC students and expressed her anticipation of meeting them on campus in the future.
Following her introduction, Joshua Rosenthal, Ed.D. and Brittney A. Dorow further introduced the academic resources and student support services provided by the Graduate Business Programs.
They highlighted that the university has a dedicated support team offering comprehensive services, including enrollment guidance, orientation programs, career development resources, experiential learning opportunities, and industry networking activities. These resources are designed to help students successfully adapt to graduate-level study and explore future career pathways.
School of Engineering Presentation: Exploring Opportunities in AI and Engineering
Following the College of Business presentation, Paulette Palafox, Senior Assistant Dean for Graduate Admissions and Student Services at Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering, delivered a welcome message on behalf of the engineering school.
She introduced the school’s academic development and highlighted opportunities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Mechanical Engineering. She encouraged students to fully utilize Santa Clara University’s Silicon Valley location advantage by combining academic learning with practical experiences to enhance their professional skills.
Interactive Session: Students Engage with University Representatives
During the student introduction and Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to become familiar with one another and actively communicate with university representatives.
The discussion covered various topics, including internship and employment opportunities, university resources, and future development opportunities in artificial intelligence and engineering fields.
Through this interactive exchange, students gained a deeper understanding of the support and opportunities available to them during their future studies at Santa Clara University.
Getting to Know Santa Clara University and Beginning the PMBC Journey
At the conclusion of the event, Ms. Zheng, HYP Global’s China Admissions Marketing Representative for Santa Clara University, provided a further introduction to the university through videos and visual materials, helping students gain a more comprehensive understanding of the campus environment and university特色.
With the successful conclusion of the opening ceremony, the 2026 Spring Santa Clara University PMBC program is officially set to begin.
We look forward to seeing all PMBC students successfully complete the Bootcamp stage and prepare for their transition into the Fall 2026 master’s programs at Santa Clara University’s School of Engineering and Leavey School of Business.
